In 1892, C.C. Graber purchased land in Ontario, California and found that olives, as cured by the early ranchers, were one of the finest food delicacies of the state. After studying those methods, he cured several barrels himself. The next season, neighbors and friends who had tasted the first barrels wanted more.

That was the beginning of Ontario’s oldest existing business. Since 1894, Graber Olives — fully tree-ripened, with a delicate, rich flavor and succulent texture — have been enjoyed by families around the world.

Our historic Ontario site is not open for tours or canning right now. Production of our tree-ripened canned olives is paused. We hope to bring them back, and we will not promise a date we cannot keep.

In the meantime, the Graber family is continuing the brand. We are focusing on extra virgin olive oil, along with jarred olives and merchandise, so we can stay connected with the people who have kept this name alive.
